How to decide on what I will commit for 2010?
Suggested steps for determining God’s will for your pledge/commitment:
- Pray. Pray alone and if married pray with your spouse. Ask God what you should give.
- Give yourself time. Don’t rush into a decision. Spend time listening to God. Plan and discuss with family the ways to give.
- Complete a commitment card and hand in on the required day.
- Keep the amount you have pledged in plain sight and pray on it each day, ask God for different ways of giving, pray to be inventive.
